WHAT ARE THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION? Must be a college student Effective communication skills, both oral and written Ability to work in team environment ITEMS OF NOTE Position not eligible for merit increases or Performance Cash ADDITIONAL INFORMATION State Farm Bank provides banking products and financial services for State Farm customers. The Bank works closely with State Farm agents to assist them in the delivery and support of these products and services. The Bank also works with other internal departments such as Marketing, Agency, and Treasury to accomplish their goals. Departments are staffed with various levels of management, analytical, and support level personnel. Project work within each Bank department may vary. In addition, all Bank interns will work on a team project which they will present to Bank Executive at the end of their internship. The topic for presentation is determined by Bank management. Examples of previous group intern projects have been examination of legislation affecting credit cards and its impact to Student credit cards, mobile banking and how to market bank products to a young adult market, and how Bank might use various social media to reach the young adult market. Individual intern work projects may include analysis of forecasting models, deposit pricing models, work with compliance/risk governance information bases. The Bank internship program also offers an introduction and farewell luncheon with Bank Executive, group presentation to Bank Executive, professional development classes, opportunity to network and job shadow other areas of the State Farm enterprise.
