WHAT ARE THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION?

Completes processing of documents related to salvage disposition in accordance to authority provided by the claim handler Facilitates all necessary paperwork to properly brand title on all salvage at direction of claim handler Secures necessary information and documentation to process titlework to conclude salvage handling Initiates payment at the direction of claim handler

WHAT KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS ARE NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION?

Works under supervision and seeks guidance throughout the titling and salvage process Trains less experienced Claim Associates Follows detailed instructions from claim handler Monitors progress of salvage process through completion of ASR reporting Researches, resolves, and processes tasks within approved limits as assigned Knowledge of individual jurisdictional processes, procedures and forms required to correct paperwork inaccuracies Follows instructions from claim handler, with minimal questions Learns the salvage process and ASR reporting Researches, resolves, and processes tasks within approved limits as assigned Communicates with team members, external customers/vendors which may require contacts by telephone, by correspondence or in person to assist in title & salvage paperwork processes Develops a basic understanding of individual jurisdictional processes, procedures and forms required to correct paperwork inaccuracies Secures necessary documentation to assist in the handling of claims title/salvage paperwork Adheres to company claims procedures related to titling and salvage processes and paperwork Adheres to state and federal procedures related to titling and salvage processes and paperwork

ITEMS OF NOTE

Fulfill state licensing and continuing education requirements as applicable Position may require walking, climbing, bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting, stooping, crawling, and/or lifting objects Job may require travel overnight via commercial transportation or driving motor vehicles to any office locations where the Company does business, or other locations to conduct/attend training, conferences, meetings, and/or seminars. Incumbent must be willing to work flexible work shifts as operation dictates Incumbent may work irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, based on workload and job requirement. Incumbent may be required to work overtime

We are seeking Auto or Fire Claims employees to fill within the new Title Document Processing (TDP) area. TDP will handle title processing for both Auto and Fire claims. Prior titling experience desired but not required.

All employees hired/transferring into the TDP area will have a 12-month incumbency period (beginning on the live date following training) which must be met before the employee can post for other State Farm positions. The incumbency period does not affect the at-will relationship between State Farm and the employee and does not create an employment contract, nor contractual rights.

Applicants may be expected to work during the business hours of Monday - Friday 7:00am-7:00pm based on workload and job requirements.

Anticipated start date is 4/14/2014.
