It designs and develops the most technologically advanced video conferencing equipment available on the market today. The Telepresence Infrastructure team at Langley focuses on video conferencing network infrastructure utilising DSPs, FPGAs and multicore processors to provide the most powerful systems available. They design and develop the vast majority of their hardware and software in-house to obtain the performance and flexibility required. The group is looking for an expert in the security implications for embedded software. Our products are mainly written in C/C++ and candidates must be experienced in embedded development in C. The successful candidate will have experience in: - software security analysis - penetration testing and threat analysis - code reviewing to identify security issues - the internet protocol - C coding standards, e.g. CERT-C, or MISRA C - working with other developers to improve code quality Experience in the following areas will also be useful: - programming in a real-time embedded environment - rootkit programming - exploiting buffer overflows via the network - cryptography - knowledge of assembler - Linux/Unix/BSD kernel development - network stack resilience - IP network stack development British educated candidates must have achieved at least A, A, B at A level (and ideally straight A grades) plus a 2i or 1st class honours degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science or Maths, from one of the UK’s top universities.
