ASR9K router is targeted for carrier ethernet service, multi service edge, mobile wireless application, and broadband aggregation. ASR9K has state-of-the-art forwarding engines including Cisco quantum flow processor. Work involves developing software for ASR9K projects which will bring together the "Triple Play" of video, voice, and Internet data access for the end customers of the ASR9K platform. Work with senior engineers to write functional specifications, design specifications, develop code in C for modules that may include the high-speed forwarding ASIC and Cisco IOS XR. Perform subsystem level software bring-up, integration, and unit test. Work in conjunction with the development test team to identify and resolve problems found, participate in working with customers on field trials prior to the initial customer release. Need at least two years experience in embedded software development for routers or switches.
