The ideal candidate should be a strong system engineer with the following hands-on skills and experience: - Expert in Routing (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) & Switching - Intermediate to expert knowledge in VPN & Security, Voice & Video, Wireless - Proficiency in Data Center, Virtualization and Linux - Experience in debugging network protocols and sessions (TCP/UDP, SIP, RTP, SSL, Web protocols, etc.) - Experienced scripter using Ruby, Python, or Perl - Ability, at a reading level, of high-level programing languages such as C, C++, Java - Creative problem-solving skills and excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills - Ability to handle complex projects and solve problems with solutions based on diverse procedures and precedents - Ability to work in a team environment - Ability to manage multiple tasks and work towards long-term goals - Flexibility and openness to change - Strong written and verbal communication skills The candidate must possess: a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering combined with 4+ years of relevant work experience; or suitable relevant training and experience. CCNP (or equivalent, ex. CCIE writing) required. CCIE/CCAr/CCDE preferred.
