As part of this effort NMTG is focused on creating a next generation Web GUI framework and infrastructure that provides highly usable and compelling user experience using latest web technologies. The candidate will be involved in the design and development of a next generation Web 2.0 UI framework that enables the creation of compelling and innovative applications. The candidate will be a key contributor to the framework and will be responsible for the creation of compelling new custom User Interface (UI) widgets, and provide CSS expertise to the team. Requires strong command of Web UI technologies and the latest trends. Responsibilities include: • Participate in the design, and development of UI framework and infrastructure * Work in team using Agile methodologies * Work cross-functionally with user experience, quality and product marketing teams to define and build interactive, high-performance, high-scalability, high-availability web GUI infrastructure * Estimate design and development activities * Communicate status against planned milestones The successful applicant must have a proven track record of bringing products to market, and should possess the following particular skills and experience: * 2+ years of JavaScript widget development (using tool kits like Dojo) * 3+ years of JavaScript, AJAX, HTML (Web 2.0 development) * Flex experience will be a plus * Solid understanding of CSS & cross browser knowledge. * 5+ years experience in Web development * Extensive experience developing reusable components using JavaScript (or JavaScript frameworks) The following skills are preferable: * Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science (or similar/relevant field) or equivalent experience * Experience with server API's (REST, Struts) is desirable * Agile development experience desirable * Ability to take ownership and provide leadership * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills to balance requirements, manage expectations, and drive effective results * Proactive attitude in identifying and resolving issues and risks Table.Right {float: Right;text-align: Right;border:0;padding:3px;} DIV.VEclearFloatAfterElement {clear:both;visibility:hidden;height:0px;} Cisco is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer Cisco is an E-Verify employer.
