Responsibilities

The “Specialist” of Reverse Asset Management supports Verizon's cost savings and revenue generation goals through the reverse supply chain process. The individual manages projects with emphasis on maximizing asset recovery for devices and accessories. Emphasis will be on execution and fulfillment of purchase orders and agreements for the disposition of assets, specifically for devices and accessories with an overall emphasis on maximizing our revenues across all VZW buyers. Cross-functional team leadership, project management, influencing and negotiation skills along with strong analytical skills are critical to the job. Working with the centralized returns warehouse team, the NewBreed team, the legal team and the VZ Finance organization. The employee will drive clear documentation of commitments and will be responsible for execution and successful delivery of these commitments. Strong communication and presentation skills are critical as are project management skills. Responsibilities:
•  Negotiate Buyer contractual amendments focusing on performance, metrics, payment history and terms and conditions. Maintain a strong and effective working relationship with buyer account management, centralized returns warehouse and the VZW Finance team. Take a strong fiscal approach to the selling and fulfillment process in order to determine and define the overall impact on VZW’s total revenue for the disposition of these assets. Maintain supporting documentation as needed from all buyers and NewBreed including contracts, amendments, letters of agreement, insurance certificates, payments, compliance and remediation reporting.
•  Negotiate with new and existing buyers, including OEMS when appropriate, for key provisions and commitments. Manage the relationships related to the successful fulfillment end-to-end of each bid or asset disposition life cycle. Focus on total revenue generation as well as full life- cycle, cradle-to-grave management with specific emphasis on increasing yields and recovery rates. Understand and align with the forward and reverse logistics operations as necessary. Work in lock-step with the centralized returns warehouse and NewBreed teams before and during bid releases and represent the supply chain organization as necessary. Maintain a strong relationship with Finance in support of this area.
•  Represent VZW supply chain in respect to marketability of devices and accessories both internally and externally. Understand the VZW device and accessory roadmap and drive an understanding of the evolution and recovery revenues over time from launch via excel and other software programs as necessary. Partner with the Marketing and Finance departments to understand Verizon’s objectives, commitments and assisting them with Data input to make informed decisions on when to write down equipment and assist VZW Supply Chain Management in meeting those objectives and commitments.
•  Support supply chain management colleagues by providing updates on overall OEM device and accessory revenue. Support the completion of contractual recovery initiatives and deliverables through spending time on the operations floor monitoring and verification of shipments contents to ensure accuracy. Implement solutions that provide efficiencies in the handling and shipping of these devices and accessories improving overall recovery margins.

Qualifications

•  Bachelor’s Degree
•  3-5 years in negotiation and implementation.
•  3-5 years Project management experience and cross-functional team participation
•  Strong Excel, written and oral communication skills with experience in influencing others as well as strong analytic skills are also necessary.
•  Proven success working in a fast paced environment with shifting priorities
