Responsibilities The primary purpose of the position is to provide expert technical knowledge on VZW National Data & Video Service Performance data trends collected through the benchmark tools and when necessary take lead in directing investigation to isolate and resolve performance degradation. Essential Functions: • Expert level LTE air interface, EPC, • Excellent vendor management skills • Rapid Detection of negative Service Performance trends that are affecting several regions • Isolation of root causes and impacted services, features and markets • Coordinate the initiation of technical investigations and testing with the appropriate regional, area and HQ functions • Provide second tier technical analysis, troubleshooting and training assistance to regions as requested • Coordinate with Maintenance Engineering in the publication of applicable Service Performance related Network Advisory documentation Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering (or degree with a similar numerical analysis foundation) or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of telecom experience and a minimum of 2 years in System or Service Performance lead role Master’s degree preferable. -and- • Strong Knowledge of TCP/IP protocol • Strong statistical and analytical abilities • Ability to work across disciplinary boundaries • Strong written and oral communications skills • Ability to work independently and meet multiple deadlines Additional Skills Desired: • Decent computer language skills such as perl scripting, spreadsheets, database management, UNIX and Windows operating systems • Knowledge of transport technologies Equal Employment Opportunity We are an equal opportunity employer m/f/d/v. |
