Controls the receipt, issue and maintenance of all items stored in the Central Warehouse; develops work assignments, organizes work flow, trains personnel and performs quality audits. Important Note: Lead Central Warehouse Clerks are not supervisors and must not be given supervisory duties such as hiring, conducting appraisals, approving weekly time cards, controlling attendance and tardiness, terminating employees, nor any other supervisory duties described in the description of Supervisory Responsibilities.
Assigns and organizes work flow to accomplish and maintain maximum production and efficiency. Trains employees and makes quality control audits of their work; keeps employees and supervisor informed of their progress. Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly work activity reports. Conducts inventory, takes steps to replenish stock, adjusts minimum order points, controls obsoletions, and reviews monthly usage, input inventory information in computerized inventory system. Operates forklifts and pallet jacks and drive company trucks or vans as needed. Maintains working areas in a clean and organized manner. Schedules and controls regular cleaning, labeling, and organizing of stock on shelves and pallet racking. Maintains a constant awareness of safety and assists the supervisor in controlling usage of equipment by non-authorized personnel. Performs the duties of a Central Warehouse Clerk, Forklift Operator, or Receiving/Shipping Control Clerk as necessary. Performs other functions as assigned.
Position is third (3rd) Shift. Hours are 11:00pm - 7:30am.

Required job duties are normally performed in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment with exposure to some or all of the following environments: Uncontrolled ambient environmental conditions Chemicals Moving mechanical parts Areas considered to be dangerous Electrical current Repetitive and moderately high noise level Conditions which would affect the respiratory system and skin such as fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, oils or poor ventilation.
High School diploma or equivalent.
One year in FIG Central Warehouse or comparable experience; must have experience in forklift operations and/or completion of a training program in forklift safety; routine maintenance, and operations.
Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to utilize a computer/keyboard. Ability to operate pallet jack and forklift equipment.
