Responsibilities This position is for an IAM engineer in the Identity and Access Management (IAM) Group, a part of the Network Security Organization. The IAM Program is one of the Network Organization’s most significant IT projects with visibility to the CTO. It is a very complex program that will have broad scope and impact in managing the digital identities and ensuring access governance for Verizon Wireless Network Department employees, contractors, and vendors requiring access to VZW Network resources. The Program’s line of sight is 3 to 5 years. The Candidate will be responsible for understanding the IAM Program’s technical direction, technical requirements, and implementing Identity & Access Management solutions in the Verizon Network Organization Using functional and design requirements, implement IAM program’s components of Physical and Logical Access Control systems. Establish a foundation for the Network department’s IAM program which will reduce the number of separate sign-on’s simplify and automate provisioning and de-provisioning. Design, develop and implement connectors and technical components for authentication, authorization, identity provisioning, physical security, and audit & monitoring solutions to provide day one onboarding, off boarding for business enablement, operational efficiency and risk mitigation. Enhancing and integrating existing access request and provisioning technologies to a variety of IAM solutions allowing EDN staff to focus on engineering and operations rather trying to get access. Integrate role-based access control, Single Sign On, user provisioning, and reconciliation services with existing applications, systems, and network devices reducing “time to productivity”. Understand developed business processes and use cases, translating them to technical requirements, and designing provisioning/de-provisioning workflows, data mappings. Implementing RBAC framework based on top down / bottom up models. Qualifications Education: Bachelors in technical related field, accelerated preferrd Experience: Have 3 + years experience in integrating security and IAM products with common identity stores (LDAP, relational databases, application servers, virtual directory servers, physical access management systems. Experience working with relational databases (SQL, Oracle, MySQL, etc.) Hands-on software development experience with single signon (Siteminder, etc) and federated access technologies (SOAP, SAML, RSA) Experience in role base analysis and designing/implementing roles based access solutions Have excellent verbal and written communication skills Have 3+ years’ experience with scripting languages (VB, JavaScript, etc.) Have 3+ years’ experience with programming languages (Java, C, C++) Proven experience with markup languages (XML, XHTML, etc.). Have 2 + years working with LDAP and directory structures.
