Our division:
CDTG is the technology arm of Corporate Development. This group is responsible for the portfolio management, the technology diligence, and technology strategy and advisory.
Our Team:
The suitable candidate will be part of the CDTG Technology Strategy team, which is responsible for the development of technology strategies that span over Cisco's 5 top priorities.
We are currently seeking a Data Center & Virtualization Senior Software Engineer for our Corporate Development Technology Strategy Group in Rolle, Switzerland.
You are a senior IT experienced (10+ years) individual with Systems Integration experience who has developed, integrated and customized Data Center Tools for provisioning, monitoring and billing of large scale data centers. You have a strong background in cloud orchestration, data center operations and systems management, comprising experience across a broad number of infrastructure technologies including network, storage, servers, hypervisors, embedded services (firewalls, content load balancing) and process automation. You have an excellent understanding of Cloud Computing frameworks (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS), deployment models (Private, Public, and Virtual Private) and associated business and technical challenges
Ideally, you will have a good understanding of the Service Provider and Enterprise IT solutions & businesses as well as Cisco DC 3.0 technologies including Nexus, UCS, SAN, partner technologies (VMware, EMC and NetApps).
You will furthermore have a proven ability to provide strong consulting and strategic advisory to and influencing top executives, leaders and decision makers at Cisco. You will therefore have a proven record of strategic thinking, excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills.
This position demands deep understanding of technologies, business drivers, and emerging trends as well as an ability to solve a mix of technology and business problems, to influence management team, and to address multiple projects and challenges at the same time. This is a high-level position with broad scope, which will require creativity, resilience and pragmatism. You will lead on providing strategic insight and analysis on cross-functional teams that identify, evaluate and analyze critical strategic and technical priorities.
Your experience will include:
3 years experience in understanding of key technology trends and their impact on the client´s business
3 years experience in leading and managing projects that deliver complex IT strategy and initiatives with tangible results, working across organizational boundaries, and interfacing with senior stakeholders.
The individual should possess strong task management, presentation, communication, teamwork and collaboration skills. Great people skills is a must.

Remote working is not an option. Relocation to Rolle or nearby is required.
