The Business Technology and Operations Finance team (BTOF) has an opportunity for a Finance Analyst supporting the Services Routing Technology Group (SRTG) within the Business Entity Routing finance team.

In this role, you will be empowered to be a true business partner in strategic planning and portfolio management to drive business excellence. You can make a difference to Cisco's critical business and position yourself for continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:
• Possess excellent leadership, collaboration and communications skills, and the ability to effectively influence colleagues.
• Consolidate the operating expenses for overall SRTG (including AGBU, ADBU). Support regular reporting of financial results and key metrics at the SRTG (including AGBU, ADBU) level.
• Perform all Operating Expense month end close activities including jv's (open po, non-open po), flash/forecasts and Budget Variance analysis for overall SRTG (including AGBU, ADBU).
• Prepare, analyze and load all opex, capex and hc plans for SRTG (AGBU and ADBU) into Capit and Planit tools.
• Provide FP&A and portfolio management support for SRTG (AGBU and ADBU)including pr's, budget tool, opex questions, etc.
• Manage R&D, Marketing and Ops headcount and project resources including budget/actual/variance analysis and ad hoc financial modeling.
• Ensure financial outlooks and forecasts are accurately represented and opportunities/risks managed to the company's benefit.
• Support the operating management in the planning and implementation of strategies.
• Advise business partners on finance-related issues.
• Manage and monitor both the financial and operational business processes to achieve overall business and company objectives.


The Finance Analyst additionally:
• Possesses excellent leadership, collaboration and communications skills, and the ability to effectively influence senior management team & other colleagues within the TG and in partner organizations
• Viewed as a technical resource by peers throughout the organization and across various functions
• Manages and monitors both the financial and operational business processes to achieve overall business and company objectives. Advising business partners on finance-related issues and making operational decisions
• Develops a broad understanding of the Tech Group's strategy and operations.


Skills Required:
• Strong accounting, planning and budgeting skills.
• Strong detailed oriented person with financial analysis skills with a proven track record
• Extensive knowledge and experience in business modeling and forecasting; is actively involved in directing other functional areas in business analysis matters
• Ability to build and cultivate strong relationships and be seen as a valued business partner
• Capable of working with teams and commit to deadlines, fostering a positive work environment
• Exhibits solid influence, communication, collaboration and presentation skills
• Ability to actively manage competing deliverables to meet business commitments and partners' expectations
• Strong team player, capable of dealing with complex issues
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required
• Proficiency in Capit, Planit, Essbase and Business Objects preferred

Tools Used:
• Excel. Proficiency Required: Expert - someone who can use, modify, and develop complex spreadsheets. Management of large amounts of data is a must as well as the ability to summarize it in a clean and impactful chart format
• ESSBASE. Proficiency Required: Intermediate - must be able to build and refresh ESSBASE queries
• Business Objects. Proficiency Required: Intermediate - numerous queries already exist, however it will be required to update and manipulate for more granular analysis

Education/Experience:
BA/BS degree with 4 years of related experience with an MBA/CPA preferred or 6 years relevant financial experience. General accounting or business unit experience and demonstrated skills in business partnership, opex forecasting, budgeting and accounting desired.
