We are currently seeking a Manager of Business Operations.

Responsibilities include:
• Serve as the main interface to the theatres (Americas, Asia, or Europe, developing countries) for employee equity matters. The program manager may also handle a specific area of responsibility such as a global RSU release or India FBT administration, for example. Facilitates the interface between the theater, or areas of responsibility, and the GSPS Operations, M&A and Business Process teams.
• Monitor and manage the securities filings for their region or area of responsibility for timely completion and filing, examples include the EU Prospectus, China SAFE filing, Denmark Notice to Employees, Japan Form 7-2, 8, and 10, etc.
• Monitor and ensure that appropriate tax withholding rates (with respect to all equity type transactions) are in place for international locations in their region or area of responsibility. Work effectively and efficiently with internal teams (Operations, Business Process, M&A, Tax, and Legal) and external advisors (tax and legal service providers) to communicate and implement updates/enhancements to tax withholding rates. Continuously identify and implement updates to country taxation web memos available to employees worldwide.
• Monitor and ensure compliance of grant process, taxation, holding periods and systems, particularly where special requirements must be met.
• Manage workflow of outside services providers supporting the International Stock Plans function (Legal and Tax) for their region. In consultation with the International Team Manager, define strategy/prioritization of work done in their region. Ensure that timeliness, effectiveness and efficiencies of delivery of services is continuously met. Monitor advice and drive recommendations of application of tax, securities and exchange control strategies for Cisco’s stock plans for their region.
• Drive implementation and administration of Cisco’s stock plans (ESPP & SIP) for their region or area of responsibility, in collaboration with Operations, M&A and Business Process. Examples include: administering the Forced Sale process, managing broker selections in EquiView, monitoring award acceptances (UK NIC and Forced Sale locations), work with the Operations team to manage the “V minus 7” process, update the international tax matrix, draft and/or update employee communications, answer HRC escalation inquiries for international matters, Swiss tax ruling tracking, Brazil tax clearance, India FBT statements, assign correct vest templates, track manual grant agreements, send grant reports to local payrolls if required, release RSU’s at Computershare, monthly headcount reports, train new payrolls, implement new countries, LOA matrix, etc.
• Drive implementation of a local broker, trustee or financial intermediary as required by local authorities to fully operate Cisco’s equity plans in a country or region.
• Communicate international stock strategies to regional HR and international payrolls, and ensures efficient and effective application of Cisco’s stock plans. Leads projects involving various teams in their region, as needed. Update payroll training if needed and sit in on payroll training. Lead replies to questions from international payrolls in collaboration with the Operations team.
• Participate in the review of stock plans, sub plans, grant agreements/appendices, prospectuses, etc and ensure administrative processes support and align with the legal documents.
• Identify, recommend and lead smooth implementation of process improvements for their theater or area of responsibility in collaboration with the Business Process and Operations Managers.
• Participate in Stock Plan Services’ global education initiative, as well as in the team’s initiatives for process improvements and tool (productivity) enhancements.
• Coach and educate international payrolls on international issues relating to stock plans in their theater.
• May present to groups internally, and to outside equity compensation organizations and peers in the industry.
• Special projects and other tasks as assigned, including RSU vesting projects, M&A integration in coordination with the M&A team, country specific requirements implementation.
