Table.Right {float: Right;text-align: Right;border:0;padding:3px;} DIV.VEclearFloatAfterElement {clear:both;visibility:hidden;height:0px;} Requisition #: R915321 Location: UNITED STATES.CALIFORNIA.SAN JOSE Job Title: Product Marketing Manager-Data Center Security Region: AMERICAS Area of Interest: Marketing Level of Experience: Experienced - Manager Flexible Work Option: No Job Description: Solutions Marketing Manager, Data Center Security As a Solutions Marketing Manager for Cisco’s Security business, you will be responsible for designing and implementing global marketing strategies in support of Cisco’s data center security solutions, including driving awareness and demand generation, messaging and collateral development targeting sales, channel and customers. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the data center security market and customer needs, and the ability to creatively position and differentiate technical solutions to strategic (often non-technical) decision makers as well as the field and channel. Responsibilities include: • Partners closely with data center product marketing team on creation of a global, cross-functional marketing plan • Serves as security lead for data center launches, drives the list of security related deliverables, as well as the owner, key milestones, and due date for all assets • Develop solution messaging and positioning, given an understanding of customer needs, market trends and the competitive landscape; ensures alignment with all relevant corporate messaging • Develop core marketing materials, including customer- and field-facing collateral. These deliverables include, but are not limited to, datasheets, internal and external web pages, FAQs, presentations, video demos and tutorials, and sales tools. • Drives social media marketing activities, as appropriate, including Cisco blog posts, Facebook and/or Twitter postings, and YouTube videos. • Develops strategic communications plan to ensure consistent messaging and appropriate frequency across all touch-points, including field and channel teams, executives, press and analysts, and customers/prospects. • Functions as the liaison between product management and corporate marketing to team with the appropriate corporate resource(s) to efficiently produce and publish all relevant solution materials; ensure all external materials are properly reviewed and edited prior to posting; and determine and manage schedule for development and review cycles; • Represents security business in major data center corporate initiatives and campaigns, ensuring that all relevant products are appropriately included in overarching messaging, as well as all relevant outbound materials. Required Skills: • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience with demonstrated success in a solution marketing role • Strong knowledge of the security industry, with an emphasis on data center security; specific experience data center virtualization and cloud computing strongly desired • Ability to evangelize solutions and communicate their key benefits to internal and external stakeholders, including press and analysts, customers/prospects, channel and technology partners, field sales, executives, and other business • Excellent copywriting/editing, presentation, and verbal communication skills • Proven capability to lead cross-functional teams to complete projects and major initiatives using judgment, experience and leadership skills • Superior ability to build relationships with peers among engineering, product management, marketing and sales • Tackles complex issues in creative ways and uses originality, ingenuity and expertise to create effective and lasting solutions • Strong team player, results oriented, metrics driven and capable of working in a fast paced, changing environment Table.Right {float: Right;text-align: Right;border:0;padding:3px;} DIV.VEclearFloatAfterElement {clear:both;visibility:hidden;height:0px;} Cisco is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer Cisco is an E-Verify employer.
