Job Title: Partner Account Manager Region: EMEA

Job Description: The Partner Account Manager is responsible of Cisco relationship within several partners in Austria.

Requires a minimum 4 years technical education, technical bachelor degree or Networking academy CCxA. 3-5+ years account management experience in a fast-growth, high technology company.

Must have experience handling multimillion $ quotas. Must be a self-starter and strong closer, with multi-tasking ability. Understanding of large business organizations with their advantages and disadvantages of different organization structures in the service oriented IT market is expected. Demonstrated experience with solution selling desired. Experience selling in a high technology and networking industry and knowledge of LAN and/or WAN networks is preferred as well as experience in selling TCP/IP Platforms.

Tasks:

• Partner Development
- Development of potential partners with the focus to establish business with Cisco.
- Build models for identifying and leveraging the partner’s capabilities.
- Create and execute an account business plan focused on resale activity in the IT market as well as partner development.
• Enablement
- Propose tactics to increase sales and awareness within the partner community.
- Support and leverage channel efforts, channel programs, field marketing, product launches, product promotions, telemarketing, and other lead or sales generating programs.
- This position is responsible also for identifying growth areas relative to hardware, software and services and the alignment of partners.
- Supports Partner Management in strategic and tactical decisions
• Partner Relationship
- Build strong executive engagement and prove strategic value. Build relationships within all layers of named partners.
- Advocate for Partner within Cisco.

Experience required:

- Experience with sales in a multiple distribution channel business is essential
- Must have strong relationship selling skills within the channels community and be able to lead sales calls at every level of an account, executive level or otherwise.
- Must be a self-starter and strong closer with multi-tasking ability.
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills are a must.
- Must demonstrate an ability to execute within a cross-functional team environment.
- Candidate should exhibit strong strategic thinking, initiative and leadership skills.
- Requires practical experience using influence management to achieve goals.
- Should possess a general understanding of legal contracts.
- Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills (German and English mandatory).
- Experience with lead generating marketing activities desirable.
- Prior management experience desirable.
- Experience with business processes in multi-tier channel procurement models
- Willingness to travel within Austria (70%), abroad (5%)


Educational Background:

Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent and 3 years sales experience in a fast-growth, high technology company is required.
An MBA degree is desirable.
