The Resource Manager will play a critical role in resource management strategy & planning with a primary focus on the Cisco’s Collaboration Architecture & key regions in the United States. We are looking for a strong collaborator that can serve as a business advisor to the executive & leadership teams and provide leadership in driving the resource management strategies and initiatives. The role will participate & drive the resource management vision, strategies, & initiatives of finding the “right person at the right place at the right time”. The organization fosters innovative team players with a passion to learn, collaborate, contribute, and share the focus on results. Responsibilities: The position will be responsible for assessing resource needs throughout the customer deal lifecycles for specific delivery areas, and serve as a primary interface to multiple stakeholders including: practices, Advisory, GSP, Partners, field delivery hiring managers, finance, business development, recruiting, and human resources. The resource manager, in coordination with the hiring managers, will help drive scalable delivery excellence through the assessment and alignment of resources. In the development and planning of resourcing strategies, the resource managers will focus on game-changing models that will optimize the enablement of internal, external, or partner resources. The resource manager will work to regularly evaluate and streamline resource management processes, identify best practices, and help facilitate organizational effectiveness. The resource manager will play a key role in partnering with resource specialists in tracking resource availability, skills, location and matching them with existing business needs. Must also be adept at networking with other RM peers to assess big picture resource needs and identify trends, skill gaps, etc The RM will be involved in (but not limited to) to the following areas: - Resourcing Strategies - Skill development & planning - Headcount planning and prioritization - Capacity planning & modeling - Partner resourcing models - Resource Pools - Resource Forecasting Requirements: - Un-paralleled ability to manage competing expectations (needs vs wants) with a compassionate yet confident approach. - Drive organizational imperatives with equitable guidance to stakeholders. - Challenged by fast paced environments and the resultant need for prioritization and multitasking. - Strong conflict resolution skills coupled with a proactive approach to identifying challenges before they reach “critical mass.” - Solid organizational skills, ability to focus and make progress towards both short term goals and long term objectives. - Skilled at teaming and engaging in dialogue within all levels of the organization: individual contributors, managers, and executive leadership. - Cross-functional collaborator capable of building and nurturing relationships with existing and new stakeholders. - Comfortable with change and possess the ability to execute against a regularly re-evaluated plan while maintaining commitment to all stakeholders. - Willingness to grow with the team and tackle administrative tasks as required associated with resourcing. - Ability to use resource management/skills tool. Experience: -BS/BA -MBA perferred -Previous experience with Cisco and with Cisco Advances Services a plus -Must have strong working knowledge in Collaboration architectures and be able to leverage the knowledge to scope and identify resource needs required to successfully deliver customer deliverables profitably, and while exceeding customer expectations. -Solid understanding of basic routing and switching architectures and associated network technologies. Desired experience includes industry wide understanding of collaboration technology & applications. -Previous experience in Resource Management -Ideal candidate will have 5-7 years experience in a related role with any business operations, consulting, or delivery management experience.
