Provides business application expertise during the analysis, design, construction and testing phases of a system development life cycle. Primarily supports the enterprise on-line item/form ordering, web to print and warehouse inventory management system modules and interfaces.
Performs data gathering (interviewing, document analysis, and group systems development sessions) and data analysis activities. Assists in the development of data, reporting and process models. Identifies business problems and translates them into information needs. Defines technology solutions and prepares costs and benefits proposals. Plans for data conversions. Assists in developing and performing integration, system, performance and acceptance test scenarios. Prepares analysis, design, and construction documentation. Participates in developing user documentation and conducting user training. May assist in developing business data tables used in conjunction with computer programs. Assists in implementation efforts as needed. Performs a liaison role by assisting other development groups with business requirements, and provides suggestions for various solutions. Coordinates with regional office personnel to obtain information and provide guidance as necessary. Coordinates the assigned tasks of specific user groups by planning and directing the activities needed to achieve the desired results. May assume other responsibilities as assigned.
Candidate must have experience with SQL Table development, maintenance and reporting as well as Web programming experience. Experience building on-line web ordering applications a plus.
Required job duties are essentially sedentary work consisting of occasional walking, standing and lifting and/or carrying 10 lbs. maximum, and seeing.
Required job duties are normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment.
Four year college degree or IIA Certificate of Insurance and two years experience with FIG in addition to the experience required below.
Six years experience with FIG including experience in one or more of the project subject areas (e.g., Underwriting) with two years in salary grade 34, Senior User Analyst.
Ability to use a computer keyboard.
