This engineer is responsible for the implementation of complex IP WAN, VPN & Security solutions on client's state-of-the-art FEMTO network. Interfaces with 3rd party hardware and software vendors, while providing technical support and lab assistance with all FEMTO related projects The position is a highly technical hands-on role where the candidate will interact with the customer, implement solutions, and support system level issues until resolution. The candidate will spend a considerable portion of their time supporting various network servers, Femto devices and Cisco core network equipment. In addition, the candidate must have excellent “soft skills” as customer interface is required. Typical solutions to be implemented are all types of VPNs (IPSec), QoS, VoIP, RAN, UTRAN and all forms of Internet connectivity & technologies. Solutions to be implemented will be as intricate and complex. Applicant must be knowledgeable on all forms of access technologies and comfortable with integrating network applications across wireless solutions. Position requires extensive interaction with customers in solution implementation and troubleshooting. Minimum Requirements: 5 + years related technical experience in Telecommunications 5 + years experience with extensive hands-on experience on Cisco Routing/Switching 3 + years - Experience with computer based systems: UNIX Administration, XP/Windows, NMS and database (Informix, MySQL, etc.)/ System Level Support 2 + years Wireless Systems 2 + years of Customer Relations experience - Must be able to make presentations to customers and document all work in a professional manner Bachelors Degree (Engineering/IT Related) Work Related Travel Ability to travel up to 35% Preferred Requirements: - 2 + years of IP networking (TCP/IP, UDP/IP, Multicast) - 1+ years of RF experience with RF and Wireless communications - 1+ years of understanding various routing protocols (BGP/OSPF/NAT/Multicast - Work with customer and engineering to resolve complicated system problems - Maintain up to date knowledge of the customer’s production configuration and third party apps - Self motivated and ability to work independently using his/her own initiative and judgment - Expertise with CISCO, Alcatel and Juniper switch and router equipment. - CCNA/CCNP Certification - Willingness to adapt quickly to changing situations Table.Right {float: Right;text-align: Right;border:0;padding:3px;} DIV.VEclearFloatAfterElement {clear:both;visibility:hidden;height:0px;} Cisco is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer Cisco is an E-Verify employer.
