Purpose of the role: The successful candidate will manage a team of attorneys, contract negotiators and program managers, each of whom supports a specific segment of the worldwide partner organization. The individual in this role will be responsible for advising senior executives on strategies and programs that affect the company's extensive partner community. In particular, the individual must be able to counsel on antitrust issues and risks. This position will report to the Senior Director, Legal Services, WW and Geographies. It entails ensuring that all legal risks are identified and managed for the opportunities presented by our internal clients. The successful candidate will collaborate across organizational boundaries, both within and outside of legal, regarding specific customers and deals. Primary Responsibilities Include: * Manage the team of attorneys, contract negotiators and program managers supporting the worldwide partner organization * Provide antirust counsel on partner related issues * Responsible for setting strategic policies and ensuring consistency with business objectives. * Determines appropriate action/solutions to more complex legal and business issues dealing with clients, channel partners and customers. * Act as a subject matter expert on antitrust issues, sharing knowledge within the legal department. Requirements: * MUST have a minimum of 3-5 years experience supporting an in-house sales organization. * MUST have a minimum of 2-3 years experience at an antitrust enforcement agency * Direct experience negotiating complex business transactions in a high-tech, distribution or direct sales environment. * In-depth knowledge of commercial contracts and business law. * The ability to read and understand complex contract provisions. * The ability to draft language for inclusion in legally binding contracts. * Typically requires law degree and 10+ years of experience as an attorney All candidates must be articulate, demonstrate superior communication, negotiation, people and organizational skills, and be comfortable and confident in dealing directly with all levels of management. Knowledge of networking, service providers or software industries is a strong plus. The successful candidate will be able to work independently but collaboratively with a high energy, talented and fun team of professionals. Typically requires law degree or equivalent professional qualification. Admitted to practice in at least one jurisdiction. Minimum 10+ years law firm or industry relevant experience required. The position is open to candidates available to work in our San Jose, Herndon, New York, Richardson, or RTP locations.
