- Highly collaborative role in Supply Chain finance as financial analyst supporting the Global Planning and Fulfillment (GP&F) function within Cisco’s Global Supply Chain Operations.

- Analyst will be responsible for both OpEx budget management and inventory reporting and metrics

-Inventory Responsibilities
o Complete month and quarter-end reporting and analysis of Cisco’s inventory and purchase commitments with Contract Manufacturers
o Partner with Inventory Accounting team in understanding inventory and purchase commitments at non-CM locations, as well as understanding the costs associated with Cisco’s inventory positions (Excess & Obsolete, Buydown)
o Understand and provide analysis on key drivers of inventory levels (Cisco’s Demand forecast and signal, Build Plan, Supply Constraints (ex Japan Earthquake, Thailand flooding, etc), Component leadtime changes, etc.)
o Incorporate key drivers, gather inputs from business partners in GP&F, Global Manufacturing Operations, Global Supplier Management etc. and provide a global forecast of Cisco’s Gross Supply Chain, Purchase Commitment, Weeks of Supply, Cisco Net Inventory and Cisco Net Turns
o Forecast discussed during monthly review meeting between senior supply chain execs and CFO
o Provide monthly inventory reporting by PF, BU, TG, BE, etc. to business partners and finance management
o Create and distribute weekly reports that track latest inventory levels and quarter-to-date shipments

- Budget Management
o Create and upload quarterly commits and annual budgets for GP&F overhead spend as part of Cisco’s commit cycle
o Provide regular forecasts against commit, track POs and calculate month-end accruals as necessary
o Approve Headcount requisitions and Purchase Reqs after performing affordability analysis against commit or forecast

Ideal candidate for this role would be a fast learner with strong business partnering abilities, analytical skills, Excel and Access skills as needed to aggregate and analyze large data sets, a willingness to speak up as a confident and trusted advisor to business partners.
