Cisco has already quadrupled their 3G Packet Core capacity - now we're doubling that, and more. If an engineer wants to grow, there are few better opportunities.

Job Description: This Mobility Network Consulting Engineer position will focus on LTE/UMTS and related technologies. Our customer is expanding and reworking their network at a furious pace - our biggest problem is delivering with Cisco quality as fast as they desire. This position is not suitable for someone who needs to work only 40 hours/week.

Required skills include:

** Strong PERL scripting.

** Strong UNIX/LINUX shell scripting.

** Extensive Experience in supporting UNIX Server Applications.

** Senior UNIX Administration skills.

** Strong troubleshooting skills.

** Must be a self-starter and willing to solve any and all problems.

** Participation in delivery of services to Customer based on communication with Customer and Account Team as well as via consultation with senior team members.

* Providing ongoing communication to the Customer on deliverable status and results.

* Ability to participate in large and complex efforts both proactive and reactive involving LTE/UMTS technology and under guidance from more senior NCE involved in the project.

* Learn and develop knowledge on end-to-end LTE and IP-based new services delivered on mobile devices, especially Policy-based services.

Travel needs vary with the project; some projects may require extensive travel. Over time, travel averages ~25-50%.

Typically requires BS (CS or equivalent), plus 2-3 years related technical experience.

Desired skills include:

** Strong TCL and Expect programming.

** CGI programming with PERL is desired.

** Experience with Openet Fusion Works products.

** RADIUS Experience (specifically Cisco Access Registrar).

** Oracle 11g including RAC.

** Mobille Wireless.

** PCRF/Diameter experience.

** Previous experience in a Service Provider environment a plus.

* 1 year of experience in Advanced Services or equivalent support organization.

* IPv6 transport and subscriber traffic flows.

Other Preferred Skills:

* Excellent verbal and written skills, ability to communicate with customers effectively
* Cellular voice and messaging technologies
* 3GPP Standards and traffic flows
* UNIX/Linux application management
* Good troubleshooting skills in a large-scale network environment
