If you, in your role as a trusted advisor, want to impact Cisco’s foundational priorities (e.g., Core Technologies, Data Center/Virtualization and Borderless Network) and drive strategic deals and initiatives across several key business units, with specific focus on the enterprise segment of the market, this position is for you! Primary Responsibilities Include: *Legal representative for one or more Cisco business units. *Strategic legal and risk counselor for key client executives. *Lead negotiator for a broad range of technology licensing and sales agreements (inbound and outbound), collaborating and coordinating with key, cross-functional stakeholders. *Provide leadership in defining and implementing strategic initiatives for the enterprise segment legal group *Structure and draft non-standard agreements/templates Requirements: * Direct experience negotiating complex business and IP transactions. * Strong knowledge of commercial contracts (revenue recognition issues), business and IP law. * Strength in executive communications. *Strong leadership skills and willingness to collaborate, share knowledge, respond quickly to urgent matters and execute with a “can-do” attitude. *Typically requires law degree and minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience. *Admitted to practice in at least one jurisdiction All candidates must be articulate, demonstrate superior communication, negotiation, people and organizational skills, and be comfortable and confident in dealing directly with all levels of management. Knowledge of networking, service providers or software industries is a strong plus. The successful candidate will be able to work independently but collaboratively with a high energy, talented and fun team of professionals.
