Mechanical Associate III - CarMax, Lancaster, PA Job Details

The Mechanical Associate III works as part of a mechanical reconditioning team in a "straight line" flow system. This team based system requires associates to produce vehicles in a "straight line" flow, with each associate completing a set of standardized activities. The Mechanical Associate III will be responsible for performing repairs in the areas of brakes, steering and suspension, and basic engine repair per CarMax Quality Standards. These duties include, but are not limited to, brake diagnosis and repair, steering and suspension repair including 4-wheel alignments, and general repairs. Additional responsibilities may also include: inspection of tires, brakes, batteries, and fluids, oil changes, replacement of air filters, mounting and balancing tires, and identification of frame, rust and flood damage. Must meet the Mechanical Associate I and II performance standards. The following ASEs are required: Steering and Suspension (A4), and Brakes. In addition, must have Refrigerant Recycling License. Must be able to perform multiple duties in a fast paced environment, provide outstanding customer service, and follow workplace cleanliness and organization standards.
