Job Title: Sales Representative - SLC Trench Safety Requisition: TP13037 BusinessType: Trench Safety

Job Description: The Sales Representative obtains new customers and services current customers for a branch or a defined sales territory. The Sales Representative ‘s primary objective is to proactively increase revenue for the branch through exceptional customer service, demonstrating and training customers on available products in the Trench Safety areas and through diligent outreach. The Sales Representative is instrumental in implementing the branch’s business plan by seeking out new markets and new customers, servicing current customers and optimizing opportunities to increase profits.
Increasing sales and branch revenue:
Plan daily, weekly, monthly activities as related to maximizing sales efforts in assigned territory.
Call potential customers to set up demonstrations and on-site visits.
Attend scheduled meetings to review sales plans, progress, etc.
Attend programs to increase product knowledge.
Complete and maintain daily, weekly and monthly reports as assigned.
Instruct Competent Person Training & Confined Space Training classes
On site visits with customers:
• Visit with customer at their offices, job-sites, and other locations as necessary.
• Demonstrate and train customers on available products.
• Make recommendations and provide quotes.
• Close sales, completing all appropriate paperwork.
• Deliver supplies and equipment as necessary.
• Install equipment and work with personnel who are installing equipment as necessary.
Job Requirements: Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
Minimum of 1-3 years of related industry sales experience
Current valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
Other Skills Required:
Proficiency with MS Office (specifically Word, and Excel)
Hands-on experience with retail sales including the ability to work with customers and employees
Strong sales and customer service skills
Understanding of business accounting principals and budget preparation
Strong organizational, motivational, and communication skills (both oral and written)
Engineering aptitude: Ability to properly size, quote, install, and maintain large projects
