Job Title: Sustainability Program Manager Region: AMERICAS

Job Description: Cisco’s Supply Chain Sustainability organization is looking for an individual to assist with the development and implementation of sustainability programs for Cisco’s supply chain. This position will report directly to the Director of Supply Chain Sustainability, and requires considerable agility, organization, multitasking and collaborative work skills.
Responsibilities to include:
•Monitor global trends, benchmark competitors, and research and analyze a wide range of sustainability issues to make recommendations on areas for Cisco’s supply chain to engage or lead.
•Identify opportunities for Cisco to further embed sustainability into existing business processes and leverage other functions.
•Collaborate with other departments / groups within Cisco to serve as a hands-on resource for sustainability projects.
•Engage with Supply Chain partners and suppliers to identify and implement environmental and social improvements.
•Lead the implementation of sustainability compliance requirements; specifically the Supply Chain Conflict Minerals due diligence process, and others as needed.
•Outline strategy, generate content, and execute sustainability training requirements for Cisco’s Supply Chain employees.
•Help develop and deploy various sustainability programs to suppliers such as:
o Water Quality Requirements
o Juvenile Labor Requirements
o Health and Safety Requirements
• Assist with the development of communications material, and serve as a subject matter expert on stakeholder inquiries on sustainability. Assist with increasing the overall transparency of Cisco’s Supply Chain Sustainability programs.
•Support the integration of sustainability requirements into new acquisitions.
•Support on-going sustainability programs including the collection and compilation of Supplier Sustainability metrics and the coordination of Supplier Sustainability audits.
•Actively participate on industry consortium working task forces(ie. EICC), to help develop standardized approaches to sustainability issues.
•Engage with other key stakeholders and forums (NGO’s, Universities, etc.) to help develop solutions to global sustainability challenges.
•Represent Cisco at public speaking engagements, industry/award events, and other industry and community activities.
Required Skills/Experience:
•Experience working on environmental issues, labor rights, working conditions, and general sustainability issues.
•Knowledge of environmental and human rights regulations and requirements, corporate carbon accounting; energy, water, and other natural/sustainable resource allocation issues in addition a strong understanding of labor performance metrics.
•Must have a strong understanding of sustainability issues in a business/ manufacturing environment.
•Excellent communications and writing skills.
•Process oriented. Experience with management systems such as ISO 14001 or OHSAS 18001 desired.
•Able to influence others and collaborate with a wide range of groups including supplier management team, legal, manufacturing, communications and marketing.
•Experience with IT systems including web page development, advanced excel and access databases a plus.
•Knowledge of high tech and supply chain required.
•Ability to take complex requirements and embed them into the business processes so that they are repeatable and simplified.
•Strong project management skills required, along with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Education/Experience:
•BA/BS Required in a relevant field such as environmental, sustainability, supply chain, etc.
•MS degree in Environmental Science or MBA in Sustainable Business preferred.
•5+ years of related professional experience, 3+ years sustainability delivery programs experience required.
•Demonstrated interest and passion in this field.
