Job Description: Manager of Partner Operations responsible for managing channel sales for one of Cisco’s largest global service provider partners.

Cisco seeks a Manager of Partner Operations with experience in Global Partner Sales and a deep knowledge of service provider and managed service partner operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales leadership background and the ability to work comfortably with executives in partner organizations and Cisco management. A working knowledge of sales processes and Cisco technology are essential, as is the ability to develop and execute a business plan, manage executive relationships and lead a national channel team.

This position will manage a sales team of local and remote channel account managers. This person is responsible for the cumulative quota of all team members and reports to the Operations Director. Candidates for this role should be able to:

Develop scalable, sustainable plan and practice that impact growth of partner revenue and profits.
Collaborate with channel, service provider and extended teams to develop a unified strategy to grow Cisco’s infrastructure, architecture and managed service sales.

- Develop and lead a strong team of channel account managers and systems engineers.


- Ability to balance strategic sales and business development activities with tactical day to day partner requirements
-Understand “solution” sales models
- Integrate partner’s vision and strategy with Cisco’s vision and strategy to grow and sustain mutually profitable revenue
- Demonstrate strong leadership and influence skills
- Understand the competitive environment
-Develop and market the incremental value of the Channel partner
-Create and execute a comprehensive strategic business plan

Skills Required:
- Strong leadership, management, communications and operational skills
-Solid understanding of Service Provider sales, engineering, product management, product marketing, and alliance organizations along with their respective business buying cycles.
- Good leadership and conflict resolutions skills
- Strong negotiating and influencing skills
- Ability to engage at the executive level of all organizations
- Knowledge of Cisco and Service Provider Market
- Strong business acumen

Requirements:
Candidates for this role will have a minimum 5 years of channel sales management experience.
-Bachelors degree, MBA preferred.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-Must have good listening and presentation skills.
-Ability to participate as a team member.
-US Passport is required
-Ability to work off hours in support the business
-Travel is required 35% of the time
-Prior management experience.
-Ability to exceed financial targets/goals/metrics.
