21st Century Insurance is hiring Service Advocates in our Vestal office.

Service Advocates receive incoming calls from current 21st Century auto insurance customers. They answer a variety of questions regarding billing/coverage and also make requested policy changes for our customers. Our Service Advocates provide excellent customer service to our valued customers in a professional and courteous manner.
*Paid 7 week Training Class begins on June 4th, 2012* Training schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Schedule after training TBD, but may include a Saturday or Sunday as a regular work day. Mid to late morning start times probable. Schedule will not vary from week to week.
Analyze, clarify and resolve basic policy and account related questions from internal and external customers. Review problems and communicate with appropriate personnel to obtain information when necessary. Respond to customer inquiries appropriately and timely.
Attain performance level standards as outlined in performance objectives.
Continue to build personal skill set by participating in in-house or outside insurance or industry related courses and seminars as deemed necessary to expand product and system knowledge. Stay current with relevant product(s).
Understand organization’s overall strategy. Model Farmers core values. Perform other duties as assigned. ________________________________________

Required job duties are normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment.
High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous call center or customer service experience - Solid work history - Ability to excel in a structured environment - Proficient computer skills - Ability to type 25 wpm - Excellent communication skills
- Basic math skills - Conflict resolution skills - Verbal and written communication skills - Personal Lines License - condition of employment - training provided to obtain license. License must be obtained within 60 days of licensing training.
This position requires the successful completion of a pre-employment typing test of 25 wpm and successful completion of a workplace skills assessment. Both of these pre-employment tests will determine continuation of the interview process.
