Job Description: Position Summary:
Responsible for managing global benefit programs as well as country specific benefits program design and consultation within the framework of Cisco’s global compensation and benefits strategy.
• Primary lead for Cisco’s Global Retirement Plan Governance framework and implementation globally
• Program manage existing Cisco programs with international and global footprints
• Project manage implementation of new global or international programs in partnership with HR Ops and other partners
• Evaluate competitive environment and develop plan designs for country specific health, welfare, retirement and time off programs in partnership with HR Ops
• Provide leadership and consultative services to support employees and key stakeholders

Responsibilities:
• Lead Cisco’s global retirement plan governance work including quarterly review of investment performance of our global plan assets, review and negotiation of management fees, develop metrics around successful operational plan management, report out on global compliance to Cisco’s pension governance committee regularly.
• Manage select global programs including all aspects of vendor management, development of program success metrics, ongoing communication, escalation management and engagement with local HR Ops to support and promote programs in alignment with regional HR Ops strategy.
• Conduct regional planning and analysis to understand the regional/country-specific needs in support of Cisco’s business objectives.
• Lead the gathering and analysis of market data to effectively understand the local competitiveness of our benefit programs.
• Ensure compliance of our local country benefit programs with the company philosophy and guidelines.
• Lead the design and development efforts for local country health, welfare, retirement and time off benefits, in close partnership with regional/local HR Ops, management, and brokers/consultants.
• Evaluate vendor proposals and effectively negotiate with suppliers.
• Partner with Global Benefits COE in the decision making process and presentation of business cases and proposals to executive management, ensuring such proposals are globally consistent and competitive from an overall total compensation and benefits package.
• Partner with local HR Ops and management to solve escalated benefits related business problems and effectively communicate to employees.
• Provide oversight and enhancement of our multinational pools.
• Assist in the due diligence and integration of benefits programs for mergers and acquisitions.
• Maintain our web-based benefit plan inventory tool.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 5-7 years global HR experience in a large multinational company, preferably a technology company. Exposure to APAC region a plus.
• Prefer at least 3-5 years country specific benefit design and analytical experience, with a demonstrated expertise in one or more benefits design areas (eg, health plans, retirement, leaves). Global benefits experience a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed HR model as well as successfully partner with Finance and Treasury team members.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills, including Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Some travel is required.
• Must be able to work with all levels of the organization.
• Strong project management experience required.
