Compiles and analyzes data to support the rate review/filing/implementation or reserving process. This includes operation of actuarial personal computer and mainframe applications which access source databases. May make simple modifications to existing programs based on supervisor direction.
Compiles information and conducts analysis to support rate/rule/reserve reviews, legislation and regulatory changes. Develops original approaches and solutions as a result of the analysis. Implements and uses commonly used actuarial techniques such as trending, loss development and credibility. Develops applications applying commonly used routine actuarial techniques. Develops presentation exhibits and correspondence for either management approval, change implementation or filing with regulators. Verifies data for accuracy and reasonableness.
Required job duties are essentially sedentary work consisting of occasional walking, standing and lifting and/or carrying 10 lbs.maximum. Functional ability of seeing, hearing and speaking is required.
Required job duties are normally performed in a climate controlled office environment.
