To continue our tremendous success and unparalleled growth, we are searching for qualified and ambitious individuals to ensure that equipment is properly maintained and repaired to maximize branch productivity. This position is dedicated to the service of trench safety rental equipment. Customers of this branch include contractor companies, non-building, industrial and commercial building contractors. The Senior Welder is responsible for: • Supervising the work performed by Welders and Equipment Associates • Maintaining and repairing shoring and shielding equipment in the rental fleet in accordance with manufacturing specifications • Ensuring all safeguards regarding equipment and personal protective equipment • Inspecting, repairing, and painting all rental equipment upon return and make sure that it is rental ready and safe to use • Performing active shoring installation and welding support on job sites • When required, travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance of equipment • Completing work orders on equipment service and maintain and inventory of related parts for repair • Training and supervising Welders and Equipment Associates when necessary • Ensuring a clean and safe working environment Job Requirements: To be qualified, all applicants must have 3-5 years of welding experience in relation to the maintenance of vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will have highly developed mechanical background knowledge particularly with trench safety related products and applications. Candidate should be familiar with the repair of various engines, extensive knowledge of construction equipment and have an advanced understanding and certification in welding. Candidates should have welding school certification for Arc, MIG, and TIG. Knowledge of OSHA safe working practices and Forklift certification is also recommended. This position may also require that individuals spend extended periods outside at customer sites. Strong verbal and written communication skills are also valued in this role.
