Job Description: The Cisco Service Provider Management Applications Business Unit (SPMABU) provides the world’s most advanced Network Management System (NMS) and Operations Support System (OSS) software technology. SPMABU is part of the Network Management Technology Group (NMTG) within Cisco.

We are looking for an experienced team member to help us build and manage global quality testing team(s) for our Cisco Prime Network management product, which is our “flagship” platform for managing IP/packet technologies spanning over 50 Cisco hardware platforms along with non-Cisco devices (e.g., Juniper, ALU, etc.). Prime Network is one of the fastest growing products in SPMABU, so this position will be fast paced, challenging and immensely rewarding.

Prime Network Engineering is looking for a Manager, Software Engineering (QA) to lead the global software testing teams. You will be responsible for Prime Network’s testing teams risk management, software testing and automation operations.

You will be responsible for managing the quality aspects for the Prime Network product, and responsible for the testing teams on a global basis. We have teams in multiple locations including Israel and India.

The successful candidate will be passionate about building a global organization, obsessed with quality improvement, experienced and highly committed to creating world class automation for regression and feature testing, able to develop and drive a high-level test strategy, as well as take a hands-on approach to implementing that strategy and delivering re-usable framework technologies to elevate the entire organization and software product to new levels.
• The successful candidate is an experienced QA manager who has successfully built multiple QA teams to deliver products to market
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of technical education and experience
• 12 + years of industry experience, including at least five years of hands-on testing and eight years as a manager
• Manage team of 25+ remote QA engineers for both functional and automated testing
• Hands on technical experience in developing and delivering QA automation technology and tools
• Strong knowledge of QA concepts and methodology
• An up-to-date working knowledge of web, GUI and back-end test automation tools and techniques
• Experience in software development and high level of technical knowledge of development environments and system architectures
• Working with business and development teams to understand product vision and requirements
• Experience in large scale testing on application level and application integration utilizing both hardware and virtual environments
• Experience in working with device integration, use of simulators, and in large scale automated environments
• Responsible for development of test strategies and creation of appropriate test harnesses.
• Driving re-usable technology foundations across QA initiatives - Functioning as the 'architect' for advanced tools and techniques to enable highly repeatable testing across multiple product platforms
• Overseeing the development and execution of test plans and monitoring and reporting on test execution.
• Will work with a team of quality engineering professions to ensure the highest quality product delivery - and define measurable metrics to gauge progress against objective QA goals
• An understanding of Network Management System concepts and application features
• Innovative and dynamic background demonstrating excellence in delivering quality commercial applications using Agile development methodologies
• Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements.
• Experience in working with global testing and development teams, working with different locations and accommodating flexible work schedules at times
• Strong organizational skills, tracking multiple test executions simultaneously and are able to synthesize the results
• Strong communication skills - both written and oral
• Background and experience working across multiple technology platforms simultaneously and leveraging common solutions and metrics
• Experience managing both individual contributors and managers
