Mechanical Associate - CarMax, Wichita, KS Job Details

CarMax is searching for Mechanical associates to work as part of a mechanical reconditioning team to produce and repair vehicles which meet our quality and customer standards. Responsibilities of available positions will range from basic to advanced skills. Entry level positions will require experience in the following areas: performing general vehicle inspections, entry level repairs such as inspection of tires, brakes, batteries, and fluids, oil changes, replacement of air filters, mounting and balancing tires. Mid to advanced level positions require experience in the following areas: brake diagnosis, steering and suspension repair including 4-wheel alignments, heating and air conditioning repair,engine repair, manual drive train and axle repair, electrical systems repair, and advance engine performance repair. Mid and advanced level positions will require the flexibility to fill in and assist entry level positions when needed. Previous automotive experience required. ASE certifications will be required for select positions. Must be able to work well in a team environment, provide outstanding customer service, and follow workplace cleanliness, organization, and process standards.
