PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• With a high level of independence, lead the research, evaluation and development of financing strategies. Recommend strategies to senior management.
• Serve as project manager in the execution of financial transactions. Negotiate favorable terms with counterparties, and coordinate the efforts of financial advisors, accountants, outside legal counsel, and various CarMax departments/subsidiaries (i.e., CAF, Financial Reporting, Tax, Legal, etc.).
• With thorough understanding of financial statements and disclosures, independently develop and maintain complex financial models to forecast, assess and report on multiple securitization transactions.
• Oversee one or more ongoing financing programs for CarMax and CAF
• Prepare analyses of highly complex financial topics. Present analyses to outside investors, rating agencies and senior management.
• Provide leadership, training and mentorship to other team members (and/or direct reports).
• Manage certain company relationships with banks, investors, and credit rating agencies." />

The Business Manager of Corporate Finance plays a pivotal role in the development and execution of CarMax’s financial strategy, managing the reporting requirements for CarMax Auto Finance’s securitization transactions, and conducting analyses on a wide range of financial topics.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• Five or more years of experience in accounting and/or finance
• Four year college degree required, MBA desirable
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, and budgeting principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
