In this role, you will be planning the technical direction for the team, identifying expertise to grow the team as needed, and facilitating key partnerships between internal, partner, and client organizations. This is an ideal position for someone who has proven leadership skills in related industry and technical expertise to advance their career in management. This SE Manager Position will be part of Cisco’s U.S. Service Providers Sales Organization. Service Provider industry experience is a plus. 10+ years related experience in the internetworking technology industry and management experience a plus. Pre-Sales experience required. Typically requires BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent. Preferred locations are Colorado, Texas or Louisiana. Primary responsibilities for this position include: • Responsible for the implementation of programs in the region. Continually strives to develop the systems engineering team. Influential in setting vision and strategies for the region. • Coach and develop staff; provide performance management, development planning, salary planning and technical training. • Develop relationships with customers, vendors, partners and corporate service organizations to manage successful network implementations that allow customers to gain competitive advantage through use of our technology. • Plan, organize and direct the activities of a variety of Corporate and non-sales support groups to ensure the finalization of customer system needs. Continuous self-development with regard to fast-paced and changing technology to ensure state-of-the-art readiness to apply diverse solutions to customer's networking requirements. • Responsible for focusing on major opportunities, expanding territory business, and driving critical account situations to resolution.
