Sr Government Relations Rep Position Description Job Summary: This position is located in Denver, CO as a member of Anadarko's Rockies Region Government Relations Team. Qualifications: - Minimum of 4 years of experience in public affairs and/or marketing - Strong communication and speaking skills - Familiarity with local government staff and elected officials and processes - Interaction and familiarity with print and electronic media - Strong writing skills; web and social media skills are helpful Responsibilities: - Develop internal and external communications for Rockies employees on political and philanthropic activities - Assist Corporate Public Affairs with internal and external communications as appropriate - Interact with local elected officials and staff on issues of concern to the company - Educate local government staff and elected officials on industry practices - Coordinate with local government Use by Special Review team on strategy for permit success - Coordinate company employees on local engagement activities - Assist with trade association activities related to local government and coordinate outreach activities - Identify, develop and provide public relations opportunities for APC in the Rockies region Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or other related field required Relocation: This position is eligible for domestic relocation Travel Requirements: The percentage of travel required for this position is 0% to 10% Work Schedule: This position is eligible for the 9/80 work schedule Required Skills .
