Store position description The CarMax Reconditioning Associate will work as part of a larger reconditioning team and will initially be trained to perform automobile receiving, inventory scanning, vehicle movement (both on and off lot), vehicle delivery preparation while providing superior customer service. This position has the opportunity to advance through a regimented career path. Growth opportunities require acquisition of the following skills to advance levels: -Basic vehicle detailing including interior and exterior cleaning, paint touch up, wet sanding, and buffing -Completion of the Carmax Final Quality and cosmetic inspections in accordance with Carmax's stringent quality standards -Interior cosmetic repair of fabric, vinyl, leather, and plastic, as well as glass repair -Small dent removal and other minor repairs including, sanding, grinding, paint preparation and paint application Working Conditions: -Combination of both office and outdoor environment; may include working at times in noisy and/or inclement weather conditions. -May require walking or standing for extended periods of time. -Flexible work hours with shifts that may include nights, weekends, holidays and 12-hour days. -Must wear CarMax clothing (acquired through the company) at all times working in the store. -Follow all CarMax, O.S.H.A. and EPA standards including the use of Personal Protective Equipment, and proper waste disposal in required areas. |
