HR Representative – Cisco Belgium and Luxemburg

Cisco has implemented a new global HR Operating Model, where at the core of this is support and service provided by leading-edge e-HR tools and shared support services. Our Client facing HR roles focus on creating business led HR plans to help support Cisco’s growth and will collaborate with HR colleagues in the functional Centres of Excellence (COE) to ensure the professional delivery of HR.

The role
This HR Representative will support the subsidiary of two legal entities in Belgium and one in Luxemburg consisting of approximately 717 employees (Belgium 705 and Luxemburg 12). This position has generalist responsibilities including developing, managing, implementing, and integrating HR programs and guidelines for the business in support of organizational objectives. In this role you will report into the North HR Ops lead.

Human Resource's Representatives will be involved in or responsible for the following areas of focus:

• Business Partnership - Understand the business & their business and people priorities. Drive systemic organizational and people strategies that are aligned to the business strategy.
• Change Agent - Partner with and coach leaders where needed to facilitate organization and culture change. Educate business on HR organizational trends/developments that affect the business.Provide tools for client leaders aimed at leading the business through any transitions to support the company strategy.
• Project management – lead implementation of core HR programs into the business insuring an effective, sustainable people strategy. Examples may include benefit programs, management capability programs, diversity programs and new hire orientation programs.
• Employee Relations (ER) - Assist management on employee issues resolution, building management capability to facilitate an open, inclusive, Cisco values-based environment that enables effective employee relations.
• Administration – responsible for accurate preparation of work contracts and labour related documents, filing, registration to benefits, submissions to state authorities, etc.
• Policies, Procedures, HR Tools & Practices - Recommend and advocate on new approaches, policies, HR tools and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
• Information & Training
• Performance Management and Compensation programs

• Compliance



The candidate

Candidates will possess strong generalist capabilities in a rapidly changing environment.

Understanding of organizational dynamics and the ability to think tactically are essential. A strong knowledge of HR, and ability to apply it to complex organizational issues is required.

The candidate will bring expert-level generalist skills and the ability to mentor and provide guidance to others within HR and managers on complex issues.

Experience / Education requirements:
• Bachelor or Masters degree (specialization in labour legislation, HR management).
• Experience in Belgian labor law requirements, knowledge of Luxemburg labor law is a plus.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources or other professional HR discipline is preferred.

Personal attributes:
• Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including remote areas.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues.
• Excellent planning and organization skills, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks, and work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
• Successfully demonstrated project and time management skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word /Excel/PPT).
• Strong Analytical skills.
• Use judgment that is in consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.


Languages
English and Flemish are required, French would be a plus.


Location
Belgium Diegem, primary, willing to travel to Kortrijk.
