Job Description: Cisco seeks a Controller to manage the accounting responsibilities for its US and Canada entities with particular focus on compliance assurance, delivery and controllership oversight in the Accounting Services and Compliance Group (part of the Global Shared Services(GSS) organization). In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accounting processes and systems in compliance with US GAAP and internal controls. The role requires partnering with other functional groups including Corporate Controller Group, Business Technology and Operations Finance and Sales Finance, among others. Specific responsibilities include:

- Oversight of the US and Canada month-end close process, including timely issue resolution.
- Ensure that the financial statements are maintained in accordance with GAAP and all accounts are properly reconciled and reviewed.
- Work closely with the Global Operations accounting team on trial balance analysis including cash, fixed assets and intercompany accounts, among others.
- Present monthly Balance Sheet fluctuation analysis to senior management.
- Manage the US accrual review process for material balances maintained by various functional groups.
- Perform as a trusted advisor/ business partner to the Corporate Controller Group.
- Engage with the Corporate Tax Group on matters impacting Cisco Canada.
- Oversee the integration of assets and liabilities from acquired companies into the US ledger as necessary.
- Participate in critical cross functional initiatives which contribute to systems and process standardizations and enhancements.

Required Skills:
•Demonstrated ability to work with all levels including senior management team.
•Ability to work across organizations to resolve cross-functional issues.
•Familiarity with ERP systems, Oracle a plus.
•Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
•Excellent verbal/written communication, analytical, collaboration and leadership skills

Education:
•BS degree and at least 10 years of related accounting experience; CPA preferred.
•Management experience required
