Responsibilities This position is responsible for management reporting and detailed analysis of wireless company financial results and performance. The position will manage staff in the development and issuance of accurate and timely reports using various applications. The incumbent is responsible for managing all aspects of Capital Budget oversight on a monthly basis including variance analysis, issue resolution and reporting, PeopleSoft requisitions, Best View analysis, accruals and tracking. The Candidate will supervise a department Analysts and Sr. Analysts/ to meet financial reporting requirements. The Manager analyzes current revenue trends, current pricing plans, and customer contract items, which have a financial impact to the company . The position also gathers statistical and financial data for Best View and Plan models, coordinates controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 requirements, coordinates the internal and external financial audit processes and conducts regional Reporting of Financial performance to Network Executive Director and Directors. Develops a consistent Area-wide database and standard reporting structure for capital and expense tracking. Participates in regional budget planning by providing YTD reporting. Performs technical analyses to determine present and future financial performance by gathering and summarizing recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity etc. Monitors construction in process and capital spending. Prepares and submits quarterly results for Sarbanes Oxley. Designs purchasing strategies including PeopleSoft enhancements, new national vendors and process flow. Oversees the preparation and submission of monthly journal entries. May motivate and train staff to maximize productivity and promote their professional development in a manner consistent with VZW company policies and practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. MBA, CPA or CMA preferred Minimum of 6 years relevant experience. 4+ years of wireless financial analysis experience or extensive knowledge and understanding of wireless industry trends and key business drivers. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Financial Statements, modern financial theory and financial analytical tools. Familiarity with Hyperion Reports and Analyzer and financial system conversions. Strong PeopleSoft experience, Essbase experience a plus. Strong organizational, management and analytical skills.
