This position provides support for the Offices of the Vice President of Academic Affairs and the Senior Vice President & Chief Academic Officer. Duties include: Schedule appointments; coordinate meetings, events and special functions; attend meetings on behalf of the Vice President or Senior Vice President; coordinate university curriculum materials; monitor budgets; coordinate travel and itineraries; prepare memos and reports; analyze requirements for projects or initiatives; process faculty and student reports; serve as the primary interface and point of customer service for students, faculty, staff and the public; submit and track tenure and promotion packages for faculty; provide supervision of daily office support activities and administrative support; answer phones, process mail and greet visitors; maintain files, records and databases; serve as a personal assistant and liaison to the Vice President and Senior Vice President; assure the confidentiality of sensitive information; and other duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree or any equivalent combination of training and experience (eight years' experience with high school graduation or four years' experience with an Associates' degree). Plus three years professional level administrative experience. Working knowledge of spreadsheet, presentation and word processing software programs. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to plan and organize effectively. Ability to multi task and work cooperatively with others. Prefer Master's degree. Previous supervisory experience. Experience in academic or student related functions. Working knowledge of spreadsheet, presentation and word processing software programs.
