Job Description: 
Responsibilities

The incumbent will be using an SSIS / ETL tool to extract data from our Customer Care systems. The focus will be on our customer care reps metrics. This position will act as single point of contact for teammates to address issues and / or fixes pertaining to tools. Working closely with the Sr. Information Analyst, they will identify and resolve issues that may impact critical project deliverables. The individual will support production tools by resolving questions and / or issues identified after release, analyze data from logs, testing tools and performance issues to identify root cause of issue, define / design solution and implement fixes in a timely manner, and resolve all assigned “tickets” or “issues” within service level commitments. The Sr. Analyst will proactively identify opportunities for improvement and optimization of assigned tools. Additionally, the incumbent works as a team member on intermediate to large projects of high complexity under the direction and supervision of senior applications staff and management. The individual must be able to work independently and be self motivating, as well as able to perform in collaborative team structure, with willingness to work iteratively on requirements and deliverables.

Qualifications

Experience - Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Information Systems - 4+ years of ETL experience utilizing SSIS connecting to multiple database technologies (Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, mySQL) - 4+ years of database development experience creating database objects (tables, views, procedures, functions) - 4+ years of information systems experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience - 2+ years of database design and architecture experience - 2+ years of database optimization techniques (index tuning, advanced query writing) - Strong programming and analytical skills - PC literacy, including desktop applications competency (e.g., Microsoft Office, e-mail, etc.) - Strong business knowledge and interpersonal skills - In-depth knowledge of information systems concepts - Strong knowledge of applicable methodologies, tools, standards, and procedures - Demonstrated decision-making and leadership abilities - Strong organizational and problem solving abilities - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Strong experience with rapid development techniques - Experience using formal development processes and/or methodologies - Full project life cycle experience - Project management skills and ability to plan and meet milestones - Ability to design and code from specifications - Ability to adapt and learn new development processes and/or methodologies - Ability to work flexible hours and weekends to meet project deadlines - Ability to work through issues independently - Ability to demonstrate analytical and abstract problem solving skills - Ability to learn and quickly adapt to change - Strong business knowledge Desired - Customer Service knowledge - Telecommunications experience
