Performance Management: Responsible for driving team to achieve all key performance objectives. Responsible for financial, budget, and sales reporting. Maintains knowledge of company and market promotional elements. Develop, assign and monitor sales goals and provide ongoing training to keep employees informed of new products, services and procedures. Attend customer meetings with team and train on effective selling strategies by demonstrating sales techniques. Develop strategies for acquiring new business, perform territory analysis and planning. Reporting and Analysis: Includes generating and analyzing sales, forecast and funnel-management reporting. Evaluate and provide input in the development of training and competitive information, as well as Verizon Wireless’s strategic and tactical plans for the Business channel. Analyze sales reports and provide recommendations for increased sales productivity and operational efficiencies during strategic / tactical planning sessions. Market and Industry Knowledge: Train sales team on new products, services and selling skills to ensure team is fully versed in Verizon Wireless products and services and ready to represent Verizon Wireless in the highest professional manner. Participate in networking activities and perform research to generate lead development. Represent company at trade association meetings to promote Verizon Wireless and increase presence in the community by developing relationships through chambers of commerce. Staffing / Employee Relations: Prospect for new talent. Develop, train and coach sales team to produce desired high performance results. Make decisions regarding hiring, promotion, and disciplinary actions. Assess individuals and team performance and initiate developmental plans to narrow competency gaps. Customer Retention: Ensure that customers and prospective customers are treated with the highest levels of courtesy and professionalism. Resolves customer issues in a timely and empathetic manner. Maintain and grow existing customer base and manage churn.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred. 5-7 years sales experience. 3-5 years management experience in a sales/marketing environment preferred. Demonstrated successful sales experience in exceeding sales quota required. Business planning and proposal writing skills. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communications skills. Excellent leadership skills. The ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-changing environment that requires a high degree of multi-tasking with minimal supervision. Management/counseling/coaching skills and/or experience. Proven leadership ability and knowledge of wireless industry preferred. Effective use of PC including Microsoft Office required.
