Mechanical Associate IV - CarMax, Salt Lake ( Jordan), UT Job Details

The Mechanical Associate IV works as part of a mechanical reconditioning team in a "straight line" flow system. This team based system requires associates to produce vehicles in a "straight line" flow, with each associate completing a set of standardized activities. The Mechanical Associate IV will be responsible for performing heating and air conditioning repairs, engine repair, brake diagnosis and repair, and steering and suspension including 4-wheel alignments. Additional responsibilities may also include: inspection of tires, brakes, batteries, and fluids, oil changes, replacement of air filters, mounting and balancing tires, and identification of frame, rust and flood damage. Must meet the Mechanical Associate I, II and III Performance Standards. The following ASE certifications are required: Steering and Suspension (A4), Brakes (A5), Heating Air Conditioning (A7), and Engine Repair (A1). In addition, must have Refrigerant Recycling License. Must be able to perform multiple duties in a fast paced environment, provide outstanding customer service, and follow workplace cleanliness and organization standards.
