Domestic Intake Specialist Full-time position with excellent benefits. Screen all domestic motions filed with the Court to determine appropriate initial course of action in motions filed in domestic matters based on predetermined criteria. Determine, based on established criteria, eligibility for alternative processes of the Court including Conciliation Inquiries. Determine use of appropriate community resources for addressing issues presented in Domestic matters. Determine which matters be referred and docketed for hearing with Referees and or Judges. All other duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree in social sciences, education, or a related human services field or a field that qualifies the person to manage or supervise the delivery of juvenile services, with 3 to 5 yrs casework experience working with youth and families. Must complete the MJI certification training for juvenile court staff w/in 2 yrs after date of employment. Extensive knowledge in Family Law, Personal Protection Orders, Court Rules and Court Processes. Thorough knowledge of comm. resources, support and custody determination factors, and family dynamics of divorce. Must have highly effective human relations skills. Skilled in use of Windows computer applications and court database information systems. Must possess valid Michigan driver's license. Posting: #026-12 Salary Range: $18.40 - $26.30/hr.
