Senior Reconditioning Associate Lead - CarMax, PhoenixGilbert, AZ Job Details

The Senior Reconditioning Associate Lead works as part of a reconditioning team in a "straight line" flow system. The Senior Reconditioning Associate Lead will be responsible for all aspects of the paint process including maintaining adherence to pace time within zone, selecting and organizing zone workload, and ensuring optimal paint booth utilization. The Senior Reconditioning Associate Lead will also facilitate direction of work and disseminate tasks to Senior Reconditioning Associates. Additional responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, conducting line training using the CarMax training methodology, conducting informal and formal observations to maintain standardization, mentoring associates through problem solving activities, developing standardized work to support continuous improvement efforts, maintaining visual tools to manage production, ensuring all equipment and personal protective equipment is properly maintained, and supporting the team in the event of absenteeism, time away, breaks, etc., to ensure level workload. Additional duties may include paint preparation, paint application, minor repairs including sanding and grinding, interior/exterior detailing, interior repair, and inventory preparation functions. Must have successfully met the performance standards and completed certifications for the following positions: Reconditioning Associate, Reconditioning Associate I, II and III, Senior Reconditioning Associate, and Senior Reconditioning Associate II. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to peform multiple duties in a fast paced environment required.
