Creates presentations concerning organizational strategies, business plans, industry trends, specific projects/schedules. Responsible for ongoing strategy communications for executive and his functional area. Ensures executive, program, or functional team is aligned on communication strategy, execution plan, and resulting deliverables. Takes a leadership role to successfully raise the profile of the executive and his functional area. Works as part of a global team to achieve desired results. Builds relationships with subject-matter experts and key personnel in order to create materials that successfully and knowledgeably position the executive and their organization. Responsible for related internal communications, external communications, analyst & press relations support, strategy communications, and internal website content. Manages outside vendors. Skills Required - 7+ years in senior strategic communications roles. - Experience with a large, global corporation, preferably within a high-tech arena (prior experience with Cisco a bonus). - Experience designing, developing, and executing successful internal and external communications programs for large, global organizations. - Proven experience working with multiple individuals on internal and external communication programs and success in bridging communications across several groups. - Excellent verbal and written communications skills (speech writing experience a plus). - Exceptional presentation development skills; solid PowerPoint skills. - Both a strong team player and an independent worker. - Ability to collaboratively drive the resolution of open issues with multiple stakeholders. - Strong executive influence skills and content development skills, with the ability to act as a role model to teach others. - Ability to turn complex ideas into stories easily understood by a broad audience. - Strong writing and researching skills. - Flexible and resilient. - Problem solver. - Ability to gain consensus among others. - Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations. - Ability to grasp technical issues and market considerations. - Strong project management skills. Responsibilities & Deliverables Communications Planning: - FY communications plan / roadmap - Develop messaging platform(s) - Metrics tracking Strategy Communications: - Work as part of a team to devleop function-level content/messaging, tools/templates, VoDs, strategy website, survey, relevancy slides - Play a leadership role in defining & executing strategy for communicating fiscal year priorities and focus areas for entire function.
