Co-Op Talent Management

The Vertex Co-Op Program offers students the opportunity to learn about the pharmaceutical industry from a hands-on perspective. You will be working closely with and learning from some of the brightest people in the industry. Co-op Program: 6 Month Commitment (January - June 2020), Full Time, 40 Hours/Week
Job Description:
The Talent Management Co-op will support the team in a variety of projects focused on developing leadership and capability development through digital and blended learning opportunities. The student intern contributes to ongoing projects including, but not limited to, supporting the expansion of a new learning management system, coordinating logistics and materials for workshops with various levels of employees in Boston, researching and adding on-demand learning resources, and tracking the efficacy of online and blended learning materials
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide project support for learning and development, performance management and other HR initiatives.
  • Build toolkits, PowerPoint decks, digital course mate and FAQ guides to support training materials, and program offerings.
  • Coordinate logistics and materials for presentations, training sessions and workshops with various levels of employees across the organization.
  • Use learning management system to manage enrollment, prework, training evaluation and training records.
  • Research and help curate content and resources on the company's intranet and in the learning management system.


  • Strong digital skills, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Basic project management skills
  • Basic internet research skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Interest in Instructional Design, Education, Leadership Development and/or Human Resources.
  • Experience with online or blended learning programs.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems, preferably Cornerstone
  • Strong graphic and/or digital design skills
  • Quality and detail oriented.
  • Ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization
