The Opportunity

This role is a rare opportunity to be a key member of a creative team developing projects from ideation, pitching, to production. You’ll work alongside strategists and content producers to enforce the design scheme of campaigns for brand partners, with the main responsibility of ensuring high quality and consistency in external materials. You’ll achieve this through working on, and aiding in, the production of RFP responses, sales materials, and post-sale design projects.

This role reports to the Creative Director of Brand Strategy and works closely with our Designer, Brand Strategy.



• Strategize and facilitate the execution of the visual elements of pre- & post-sale content
• Aid in the ideation and development of content campaigns during pre-sale
• Create presentations in Keynote and PowerPoint. (Presentation design is a big part of the job)
• Art direct sold and sponsor campaigns through design, photo editing, data visualization, and quality management
• Ensure pre-sale mocks meet design objectives and creative meets the needs of clients
• Work inter-departmentally on site-wide design initiatives, as needed
• Enforce brand style guide and best practices across all materials
• Adopt and evolve the Daily Beast revenue team’s visual style.



Required Skills/Experience:
• Adobe creative suite, including Adobe XD, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects and Illustrator
• Keynote
• Powerpoint
• Banner media best practices
General Qualifications:
• Strong eye for design principles and details
• Ability to both adhere to a brand style guide and push the brand’s visual identity, depending on the situation
• Ability to apply design principles and style guide across a variety of mediums, including presentations, printed collateral, microsite design, email signatures, eVites
• Energized by a challenge: you enjoy figuring out how to do something you’ve never done before
